Are you about to start a novel? Stuck figuring out what you need to outline before a word is penned? Don’t worry. This 7 day Brainstorming a Novel Outline workshop will help define some crucial areas you need to know to help you out. I’ll break down some novel writing elements to help you understand their importance and guide you to set up the premise, conflict, and character profile of your manuscript.
This is an interactive workshop, with Q&A periods and assignment posts to assess as a group. Participation is crucial in order to get the full benefit. There will be a Q&A chat on Monday, June 11, at 9 p.m. EST time.
Some of the topics we’ll touch a general base on are:
- what if
- story beats
- building main and secondary characters
- scheduling writing time
- goal planning
By the end, you’ll have a general outline of the who, what, where, and when that will guide you now to begin telling your character’s story.
Brainstorming a Novel Outline is normally a paid workshop but being the first workshop of the New Muse Online Writers Conference I’m offering it for free. Attendees who take this course will also be eligible for a 25% discount in any upcoming paid workshop I teach.
The beauty of a forum workshop is that regardless the time zone you are in, you can enter at any point during the day or night to read and complete each assignment.
